What is soul? Are you soul or do you have a soul?
A. You are in the state of being layered by several kinds of electricity. It is considered layering the electricity called “Physical body” and the other one called “Soul.” Soul contains at least three (3) different kinds of electricity (being layered): Astral, Ether and Mental electricity.
Let’s try to say “Yoo-hoo!” in your mind right now. That voice in you is the one from your astral electricity. You may be familiar with Qigong/Chi gung (Kikou), yes? That “Chi (life energy)” is the ether electricity. Then, your subconsciousness generally called “higher-self” is the mental electricity. You (= your soul) consist of these three (3) electricity. You can’t be YOU without any one of them.
Therefore, we say “you” as a physical body has the electricity called “soul.” You cannot exist only by your physical body so that you are the “soul” as well.
To answer your question, both definitions are equally correct.
